Survey Your Cross

As I survey my wand'ring heart:
How can my heart in Your sight be true?
How can I surely follow You?
Then I survey, survey Your cross

As I survey my fractured life:
Do I fear man more than I fear You?
Are You my one or number two?
Then I survey, survey Your cross

As I survey this broken world:
What is this world of ours coming to?
Will there be peace when time is through?
Then I survey, survey Your cross

Your dying crimson, like a robe,
Spread o're Your body on that old tree
Now I am dead to all the globe
