Sometimes, a Journey

Sometimes, a journey seems unending
And all we pass remains the same
But by the strength of ones convictions
There comes a Kingdom to be gained

Sometimes, a journey goes in circles
Without a plan or guide or map
But with the help of life's True North Star
There is a way to keep straight paths

Sometimes, a journey is a mission
A life consuming and loving goal
It's like the time the Lord in heaven
Came down to rescue the world below

Sometimes, a journey gets more crowded,
So many people on the roam
Then in the night, quiet invites one
To sit and stay, commune alone

Sometimes, a journey fills with laughter
There is a time to feel delight
Yet there are days that lead to sadness
There is a time to stop and cry

Sometimes, a journey meets resistance
When one contests deep, longstanding views
As we traverse, we see a crossroad
There is a branch that we have to choose

Sometimes, a journey leads to breakthroughs
Within the wall of fear we keep
And in the Lord, we learn belonging
And with that, learning to be free
