In the Wind

Where does the wind come from?
Where does it go to?
I just know what I hear.
How does the Spirit act?
How do I know it?
I just know when I'm near.

Searching for purpose and truth,
Claiming that love is the best.
I know some, God knows the rest.

Will the wind blow on or
Will the wind calm down?
Should I go on or wait?
Will I believe God? and
Will I have purpose? (or)
Should I resign to fate?

Puffs from a draft,
Cleaning the wheat from the chaff,
Sifting seed with a waft,
Caring for my behalf,
Lord!
In the wind, come what may
In the wind, praise God,
In the wind, have Your way

Will I chase wind gusts or
Will I bear buffets,
Keeping a firm fast hold?
I hear new teachings and
I hear new warnings.
Are they of dross or gold?

Searching for purpose and truth,
Claiming that love is the best.
I know some, God knows the rest.

Riding the fresh wind and
Bursting with passion,
Blowing away my doubt
Finding the strength to win
Over the dangers
Finding a better route

Taking the blasts,
Keeping taught on the mast,
Having peace that will last,
God is holding me fast,
Lord!
In the wind, come what may
In the wind, praise God,
In the wind, have Your way
